Why We Built Our Weekend Service

It usually starts on a Wednesday. Someone in the family group chat realizes the backyard wedding is in three days and there's exactly one bathroom in the house for sixty guests. Or the volunteer coordinator for Saturday's neighborhood cleanup remembers — twelve hours before kickoff — that volunteers will need somewhere to go.

That's the situation we built our weekend service around. A Friday drop, a Monday pickup, and a unit that's actually clean when it shows up. No coordination headaches. No weekend phone tag with a driver who can't find your address.

This page walks through what we offer, who tends to book us, and what you should know before you reserve a unit.

What a Weekend Rental From Us Actually Looks Like

We don't try to sell you on the idea of a portable toilet. You already know what it is. What matters is how the rental runs from booking to pickup — and that's where most companies fall short on short cycles.

Standard Weekend Porta Potty Rental for Backyard Events

The workhorse of our weekend fleet. One ventilated unit, fresh chemical charge, paper stocked, hand sanitizer mounted inside the door. Delivered upright, leveled, and positioned where you point. We've put these on lawns, gravel driveways, side yards behind a fence, and once on a rooftop deck with elevator access. If your guest count is under fifty and you're running a single afternoon and evening, one standard unit handles it. We'll tell you honestly if you need two — most companies just upsell.

Weekend Wedding Portable Restroom Rental with Upgraded Interiors

For weddings, the standard unit usually isn't what people want. We carry mid-tier units with interior lighting, a flushing mechanism, a real sink with running water, and a finished interior that doesn't read "construction site." Mirror, hook for a clutch, the works. Couples book these about three weeks out on average. Peak wedding months go faster — if your date is in May, June, September, or October, the booking window tightens.

One-Stall Luxury Restroom Trailer for Weekend Receptions

When the event is held somewhere the bride doesn't want a plastic unit anywhere in a photo, the trailer is the answer. Climate controlled, hardwood-look flooring, porcelain fixtures, vanity with mirror, exterior lighting. Tows in Friday, hooks to a standard outlet, runs for the weekend. These require a flat staging area and access to power. We'll do a site check if you're not sure your venue qualifies.

Two-Day Construction Catch-Up Rentals

Crews that didn't finish framing on Friday and need to work the weekend. We get a lot of these. Drop Friday afternoon, pull Monday morning, billed at our weekend flat rate rather than a full-week minimum. Good for small remodels, deck builds, and weekend punch-list work.

Portable Toilet with Sink Rental for Food-Adjacent Weekends

Required by health departments for most events serving food. Our combo units pair the standard restroom with an integrated handwashing station — soap, paper towels, foot-pump or pressurized water depending on the model. Caterers usually call us directly once they read the permit requirements.

Weekend ADA Porta Potty Rental for Accessible Events

Wheelchair-accessible units with extended interior dimensions, ground-level entry, and interior grab bars. We strongly recommend at least one for any event open to the public, and permitting often requires it. Worth knowing before you finalize your count.

When People Actually Book Us

A pattern we've noticed over the years — these are the events and projects that fill our weekend calendar.

Backyard Wedding Receptions Block Parties & HOA Events Memorial Gatherings Estate Sales (Sat & Sun) Outdoor Church Services Tent Revivals Weekend Film Shoots Photography Projects Charity 5Ks & Fun Runs Community Fundraisers Weekend Construction Overflow Neighborhood Cleanups
If your situation isn't on that list, call anyway. We've seen most of it.

How Weekend Booking Works

Three steps, in this order.

1

You Call or Fill Out the Form

Tell us the address, the date, the headcount, and whether you need anything beyond a standard unit. We quote you a flat rate over the phone — not a starting price, the actual price.

2

We Confirm Friday Delivery

Most weekend deliveries happen between 10 AM and 4 PM on Friday. If you need it earlier, we can usually accommodate with notice.

3

Driver Places the Unit

The driver shows up, places the unit, and leaves. Monday morning, another driver pulls it. You don't need to be home for either trip as long as we have placement instructions.

What the Weekend Flat Rate Covers

We bill weekend rentals as a single line item — no surprises at pickup.

Sanitized Unit

The unit itself, cleaned and sanitized before delivery

Friday Drop & Monday Pickup

Full cycle delivery and retrieval at no extra charge

Fully Stocked

Paper and sanitizer stocked for your event

One Standard Service

Included if the event runs unusually heavy

Delivery Within Service Area

All addresses inside our standard zone covered in the flat rate

What's not included: extended-stay charges if you want to keep it past Monday, fuel surcharges for addresses outside our standard zone, and damage fees if the unit comes back unusable. We tell you all of this before you book.

Before You Confirm a Weekend Rental

A few things worth thinking through before you lock in your booking.

01

Placement

The driver needs a flat, accessible spot within about forty feet of where the truck can park. If your venue is down a steep slope or across a soft lawn after rain, mention it when you book.

02

Power and Water

Standard units need neither. Luxury trailers need a 110V outlet within reach. Combo units with pressurized sinks need a water source or we bring a refillable tank.

03

Permits

Residential placements on private property typically don't require permits, but commercial venues and public spaces sometimes do. Check with your venue before confirming.

04

Guest Count vs. Unit Count

One standard unit handles roughly fifty guests for a four-to-six hour event. Longer events, alcohol service, and food service all increase the count. We'll do the math with you on the phone.

Reviews — Weekend Portable Toilet Rentals

★★★★★

"We booked late — like, Wednesday-for-Saturday late — and Hegen's still got us a unit. Delivery driver showed up exactly when they said. Unit was spotless. My mother-in-law actually commented that it was nicer than she expected, which from her is high praise."

"Used them for my dad's memorial. The whole experience was respectful and easy. They placed it where I asked, didn't try to upsell me, and the price they quoted was the price I paid."

From Our Blog: How Many Porta Potties You Actually Need for a Weekend Event

The rule of thumb most companies repeat — one unit per fifty people for four hours — is roughly right for a dry, daytime event with a moderate guest list. It falls apart fast under real conditions.

Add alcohol, and usage roughly doubles. People drink, then they go. Add food, and you're adding another thirty percent. Add an evening shift past dark, and usage clusters dramatically as guests get more comfortable and stop holding out. Add hot weather, and hydration rates push everything higher.

The cleaner formula: figure out your peak hour, not your headcount. A wedding reception of eighty people that runs from 5 PM to 11 PM has a peak hour around 8 PM, when dinner is wrapping and the bar is busy. That's when you need capacity. If your peak hour can't be served in under ten minutes of wait time, you're under-rented.

For weekends, we generally recommend:

One standard unit per  40 guests for events with alcohol
One standard unit per  50 guests for dry events
Plus one ADA unit for  any public event regardless of size
Erring slightly high costs less than the one complaint that ruins an otherwise good event

FAQ — Weekend Portable Toilet Rentals

How far in advance should I book a weekend rental?
Two weeks is comfortable. One week works most of the year. During peak wedding months, three to four weeks is safer for upgraded units and trailers.
Can you deliver Saturday morning instead of Friday?
Yes, but Saturday delivery slots are limited and book up first. If your event is Saturday afternoon, Friday delivery is more reliable and costs the same.
What happens if the unit fills up over the weekend?
For most weekend events it won't. If your guest count or duration is high enough to risk it, we'll either upsize you to a higher-capacity unit or schedule a mid-weekend service. We'll tell you which makes sense when you book.
Do you deliver to all surrounding areas?
Yes, plus most surrounding areas. If your address is outside our standard zone, we'll quote you any travel surcharge before you confirm.
What if it rains?
The units are sealed and weather-rated. Rain doesn't affect operation. Severe wind can be an issue for the taller luxury trailers, which is something we'd discuss with you ahead of the weekend.
